Tomorrow will be another rainy day in Boston which means muddy paws and dirty fur! My mom and I have found two products that will help you stay clean and dry!
#1- Body and Paw Wipes by John Paul.
If the name John Paul sounds familiar to you that’s because he is also the co-founder of Paul Mitchell hair products for humans. He has now designed a collection of high end grooming products for pets which include the Full Body and Paw Wipes. These Wipes are perfect for a quick clean up after a jaunt in the muddy park. They are ideal for pups with sensitive skin, and they are pre-moistened which allows them to be soft and easy to use. You can buy them at Pawsh Dog Boutique in Boston or order them online from the John Paul Pet website http://www.johnpaulpet.com/
#2- Port-o-Pocket Dog Rain Suit
This is a must have for dogs who like to play in the rain! It is easy to put on and has four sleeves to keep all four legs dry and clean! You can either get it in a bright sunny yellow color or a dark army green color. My moms favorite thing about the Port-o-Pocket rain suit is the price…$29!
My favorite features are the:
- Easy velcro closure from chest to belly
- Protective hood
- Safety reflective trim
- Sewn-in leash hole
- Convenient fold-into zippered pouch for take-anywhere travel
You can purchase the coat online from Trixie and Peanut!

I had a very big day in the city today. I also learned first hand two very important lessons that I will share with you all. Trust me you don’t want to learn them the way I did! We woke up early and my mom showered and got ready. Next thing I knew we were out and about walking towards Charles Street. I love that walk because we get to go through the “big park” and I can play with my friends if they are there. Once we got on Charles Street I was panting and smiling running alongside my mom.
Now pay close attention because here is Lesson Number One for the day – Always look in front of you not above you or at anyone else when you are walking. This is what happened… as I said I was panting and smiling looking up at my mom who was looking ahead which I should have been doing. I was prancing and having a great time until all of a sudden I was wet and my mom was sitting down. I had tripped and fell into the big water bowl for dogs outside of Upper Crust and my mom had sat down on the bench. It was embarrassing and I was unsure of what to do. I stayed in the bowl and looked at my mom who was now laughing. I splashed around playing it off as if I had meant to jump into the bowl and then I jumped out.
We finished our errands and went home so mom could do some work. I took a nap and just when I woke up my mom was already strapping me into my harness. We went to the park and then we headed into Borders, my mom loves reading! I have been in there before so I know not too jump on anything or anyone. I was minding my business playing up my cuteness for the customers and employees when I noticed a tail wagging. It was another dog! I lost control of myself. I tugged the leash and made my mom let me go say hi. The dog was a Wheaton Terrier and very sweet. We said hi to each other and I attempted to play but she wasn’t very interested and just stayed lying on the ground. My mom had to go to a different area so I gave up on the Wheaton Terrier and went with my mom. After she had gotten the books she needed we headed to check out.
Now here comes Lesson Two so pay attention. There was a long line we had to stand in and it was so quiet. I was starting to get restless and that was when I noticed that the Wheaton Terrier was also waiting in line only two people away from us. I pranced towards her but once again she did nothing. I wanted to play what the heck!! This time instead of giving up I gave a bark and jumped into my play stance (paws forward, head down, butt up). Well everyone turned and looked and still the damn dog did nothing. My mom scooped me up and told me NO in my ear. No barking inside she told me – Lesson Two. She made me stay in her arms and very quiet the rest of the time we were there. I did feel kind of bad since the Wheaton Terriers owner told my mom that his dog knows not to play or bark inside. Granted I am only seven months old and his dog was seven years old! Give me a break…
The rest of the day was spent at the park, off my leash in my front little yard at home (first time ever..amazing), napping when my mom did work and played fetch! Now I am typing to you guys while my mom and roommate watch Criminal Minds. They love that show! Well I am going to go snuggle up with my mom and try and get her to give me some of her food..hehe

PS- Don’t forget what I told you… Always watch where you are walking and never bark inside!

Hi guys,
I hope everyone is having a great weekend and usually I don’t write much over the weekends but this is important. My mom received an email last week from her friend Erin and didn’t share with me until now. She probably didn’t want me to use the computer since she has to get her 1500 words a day in. Well Erin’s dog (Titus) is my friend and he was the one who came across this amazing discovery. He found out about from Daily Candy- http://www.dailycandy.com/online/article/76895/Pup-to-Go-Dog-Carrier. Basically it is a Baby Bjorn for dogs! Amazing right?
Here is the link if you want to show your parents. Could be a good holiday present??

Gotta get that carrier!
I am one tired puppy! First let me (once again) apologize for my lack of recent entries. You see my mom is working on launching her own web design company as well as getting her book “Tangled Between The Sheets” published.
** Check out the website she is making for her web design business www.727-design.com **
Therefore she has been using the computer and I haven’t been able to steal it away from her. I have so much to fill you in on… hmm.. where to start!
Let me back track to Saturday. Saturday my mom and I walked our roommate half way to work then went to the park for the day. It was a lot of fun. My mom brought me water and a blanket that we both sat on. It was so relaxing and I got to play with a lot of dogs!
When we got home my aunt came over and I had a feeling they were going to leave me BUT to be honest I was so tired I didn’t even care! My moms college roommate is getting married so she had to do some last minute things so I stayed home and rested.
Saturday night was a fundraiser that my mom, my aunt and my roommate were all going too. I was so sad and wanted to go with them but my mom said it wasn’t a pet friendly event. She designed the website (www.partyforpete.org) and it was for Matt’s roommates brother who passed away a few years ago for Cystic Fibrosis. I knew it was a good cause so I didn’t give my mom a hard time when she left for the night.
My roommate had more work to do and couldn’t go to the event until late. I don’t think she was too happy about having to work and go late but secretly I was because I hate being home alone!!
As usual it was a very long night and then my mom left really in the morning to go to New York for her college roommates wedding shower. I was so confused and Matt ended up taking me to his house for the day. My mom came late at night at picked me up and I got to sit in her lap while she drove. She was nervous, I could tell.
Yesterday was a low key day except my mom and I did get stuck over in Southie for a little bit but Matt came and got us. Whew…
Now today was the BIG DAY! I went out on a long adventure with my mom and my aunt! First we went to the park and then my mom decided to pop into H&M because she really needs new shoes. I kind of chewed on hers and to be honest they are pretty gross… sorry mom!
After that we went to Filenes Basement which was an experience. It was like heaven to me. There were tons of shoes and boxes all over the floor and all I wanted to do was chew a shoe but my aunt and my mom wouldn’t let me. I met the nicest man there! My mom was carrying me because she wasn’t sure if it was a pet friendly place. Also I wasn’t prepared to investigate (I had forgotten my badge at home…my bad!). This guy came over and informed us IT WAS A PET FRIENDLY STORE and he said I could walk around the store. I jumped out of my moms arms and tried to run to shoe heaven but it was so slippery that I kept falling on my face. I loved it though… I want to go there everyday!
Next stop was Victoria Secret. Now this was even better since my favorite game is trying to steal my moms, my roommates, and my aunts bras. There were so many in this place and some were hanging low and if I put a little extra oomph in my jump I could grab some! Once again my mom was holding me when we entered due to the no badge and not sure if pets are allowed factors. This time a really nice girl came up to us and guess what she said…..
YUP YOU GOT IT…. THEY ARE A PET FRIENDLY STORE ALSO! I got to run around and go into the dressing rooms! So much fun but then I really had to pee and my mom was totally not catching on so I lifted my leg (don’t worry everyone I did not pee .. I just wanted to get my moms attention) well that quickly got her attention. She ran to my aunt and told her we had to hurry. We were back outside in less than 10 minutes flat and I got to relieve myself. Thank god!
Final place we went was my ALL TIME FAVORITE RESTAURANT Tealux! Once again the wait staff was beyond nice to me and gave me a BOWL with water in it. I was even allowed to sit in my moms lap and rest while she ate. I hate having to lie on the gross pavement! I might have to give them the 2009 Best Dog Friendly Restaurant Award at the end of the year!!
Now we are home and I am going to take a nap plus my mom is staring at me because she wants the computer back… ugh!
I promise to write tomorrow and if you want to be my friend just email me your picture with your name, location, etc and I can put you on my friends list!!
Have a great night!!

Dear Diary,
Today my new dog bed arrived! It is great! It is so comfortable and big. My mom loves the pattern and the fact it is washable. My mom also ordered the matching quilt but it hasn’t arrived yet. She is more excited for that than me.
You should totally make your parents get you the bed and the blanket. They are both made by George SF! She bought both online at http://www.allpetfurniture.com

Dear Diary,
Today was another rainy day boo to the weather man! My mom had to go to CVS to get cleaning supplies. The last time my mom was at CVS there was a lady there with her dog so today my mom said screw the no dogs allowed sign and brought me along! Go Mom I barked as she strapped me into my harness.
We had to walk down the not pet friendly street to get CVS. That was not fun but at least I was going with mom. Before we walked into the store my mom attempted to put me in her bag but gave up after I kept jumping out. Once I stepped inside CVS I knew I had won! No dogs you say, well here I am, haha!
An employee walked by and my mom quickly bent down and scooped me up into her arms. Guess she wasn’t feeling as confident as I was. I made sure I stayed very still and completly silent while I was in my moms arms. We stood on some weird moving thing that took us up to a whole new floor. I could have stayed on that moving thing forever!
After only a little while my mom had to put me down to walk because her hands were full with stuff that she had been grabbing. After my mom had paid at the counter she tried stuffing one of the million plastic bags into her bag. I could tell she was annoyed at the amount of plastic bags the man had used. Each plastic bag was basically carrying only thing. I was starting to get very bored and began hoping around mom and over her bag. I was having a blast until I got my leg stuck in my leash and fell. Stupid leash!
My mom managed to pick me up while holding all of her bags and get us both onto the moving thing and back to the first level. I snuggled up against my mom and could feel that she was starting to sweat. I felt kind of bad since I knew my fur must only have been making her warmer but there was nothing I could do to fix it. I am furry, gotta love me!
My mom proudly pushed the doors open to the outside. I felt as if I had gotten away with murder.. well maybe that’s a little much but what can I say!
By the time we got home I think my mom was more tired than me. Our roommate came home just as my mom had finished putting away everything she had bought. I ran over and jumped all over her. She laughed and it made me jump higher in excitment.
Now my mom and my roommate are watching some moving about shopping and they are not paying attention to me. Annoying! Oh well I am getting tired so I might as well put away the computer, grab a chew toy and attempt to watch whatever movie they are watching.
Talk to you guys tomorrow!!

Dear Diary,
Today my mom and I went shopping for my roommate. It is her birthday next week but we are celebrating tonight. Both my aunt and my roommate are going to be away next week! It was beautiful outside and my mom let me play in the park for awhile before we went shopping. The park was really fun and there were tons of dogs for me to play with. I was upset when my mom said it was time to leave the park and go shopping.
We went to this great store called Queen Bee on Newbury St. My mom had never brought me there before and didn’t know if it was pet friendly or not. It ended up being a very pet friendly store. The staff was amazing and kept patting me. They let me run around and even wrapped the gifts we had gotten for Care, my roommate.
My aunt picked up cupcakes and my mom let me try some of the frosting. I loved it!! My rommate came home after work and the three of us ordered dinner and watched movies together. It was really fun. After the movie was when I got to try the yummy white colored frosting from my moms cupcake. My roommate opened her presents and she loved them. Then my roommate gave me a package from Vinnie, my dog friend in New York, that he had sent me.
I was so surprised and excited. I felt bad for a second because we were celebrating my roommates birthday but my mom said not to feel bad. Vinnie sent me a great dog book called Doggies and it is written by Sandra Boynton. My roommate read it to me and I loved it. Thank you so much Vinnie! It is totally a five paw book.. it helps teach you how to count with dogs!! Amazing!!
Now I am laying with my mom on the couch. They are all watching a scary movie called Haunting Hartley (my mom loves scary movies) and my aunt and roommate are freaking out! I just want to go to bed but hate going with out my mom! Oh wells… going to try and rest up because I think I am spending the day tomorrow with my best friend Matt (a boys day) while my mom goes sailing.
I will keep you all posted….

Dear Diary, Today is what my mom calls “Sunday Funday”. I went to Intermix on Newbury St. with my mom and aunt. That is my moms favorite store. She loves everything in there. Thank god I was there or my poor aunt would have been stuck in there forever with my mom. Luckily for me and my mom they are very pet friendly at Intermix. They were all sooo nice to me and made it easier for my mom to enjoy her shopping. Thank you Intermix for making our Sunday a fun day! xoxo City Living Puppy
Today was a very very long day! My aunt and her friend came over. We all hung out and then my mom put me in my stupid harness so I knew I was going with them. I was so excited! We went to the end of Charles St. and back! I had no idea women can shop that much. I was thirsty and tired by the end! I made friends with a dog named Romeo at Four Preppy Paws and also made friends with two ladies at The Flat of the Hill. It was a fun day but never again do I go shopping with my mom and her friends! Make sure to check out my paw ratings for the day since there are many new ones!! My roommate is now making me eggs yummm….. going to go lie down till dinner is ready! My paws are aching! xoxo City Puppy
Dear Diary, Today was a slow day in the city! My neighbors woke me and mom up at 4:30am with loud noise. It scared me so much that I peed the bed! Mom was not happy but she got up and changed the sheets and took me for a walk around the block to poop. It was cold out! Needless to say both of us were pretty tired today! My aunt came over and we all went to Flat of the Hill on Charles St. My mom held me as we went around the store. Not sure if I was allowed to walk around the store but they were super friendly while I was in my moms arms. My mom loves that store. I started getting antsy and so did my aunt. My aunt has to study so she was anxious to get home. While walking home I lifted my leg for the first time to pee and my mom and aunt started freaking out. They got all excited! I have no clue what the big deal was or is but it made them happy. Now I am home and my mom has friends over. I am going to see who wants to play me. Love when there are multiple people I can try to get to play with me!
