Dear City Living Puppy,

Glen Wild Animal Rescue, a Mayor’s Alliance Participating Organization, is struggling as a result of the economy to keep its shelter -– home for 30 dogs (many abused and needing long term sanctuary), 12 cats and a humane education program that offers a new lease on life to troubled teens.

Liz Keller, CEO of Glen Wild, has a stellar track record of animal rescue work over 25 years. Liz often finds success where others do not, rescuing and rehabilitating dogs who have been abused, malnourished or forced to fight against their will. Liz’s own dog, Miracle, a shepherd mix, came to her after being buried alive as an eight-week -old puppy:

With her love and care, Miracle and countless other cruelly mistreated dogs and cats are thriving today.

Liz’s work and that of Glen Wild does not stop with animals. Pairing shelter dogs and troubled teens, Liz has created a life-changing program for at risk youth, many from NYC:
