Black Ice .. Why?

Hello,
Did you have a good weekend? Well if you were in Boston then you know it was beyond cold!! Even I didn’t want to go out that much yesterday! Do you know what black ice? Well if you don’t that is good but please take my advice and stay away from it!!
My mom and I were taking a short walk yesterday when we both stepped on what my mother told me was black ice. I slid forward and all my paws went out and my mom fell on her knee still holding my leash. She ripped her jeans and my chest felt raw. She couldn’t help laughing which made me jump on her and her laugh even more. My mom then explained to me that we had stepped on black ice and we have to be more careful.
So confusing!! I got used to the snow (love it), I got used to the snow being pushed to the side of the sidewalk, I even got used to the park having patches of snow and ice but now this!! I don’t know if I like winter….
