Tomorrow is my first birthday! I have a play date with my friend Duke in the afternoon and at night my mom is making me a birthday cake. Below is the recipe….
Peanut Butter Carrot Cake
* 1 cup flour
* 1 tsp baking soda
* 1/4 cup peanut butter
* 1/4 cup vegetable oil
* 1 cup shredded carrots
* 1 tsp. vanilla
* 1/3 cup honey
* 1 egg
Mix flour and baking soda. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 8″ round cake pan and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Let cool. Puree cottage cheese in blender for icing. Decorate with more peanut butter and carrots.

Dear Tanner,
There’s the South Boston ‘Bark Park’ that opened this summer –http://www.yelp.com/biz/south- and an amzing dog park off washington street in the South End. Tales of Boston is the service my dad uses to feed or walk me if he cant make it — Heather Gay is the head of that and is on facebook – she’s up for some award for it I think. The PAW-stonian with Bette Yip is a great trainer with facility – individual and group classes out here — she’s helped me a lot training me and my dad. The South Boston Dog Spa is a good groomer and South Boston Pet Hospital is good when in a pinch. My dad takes me to the Boston ARL in south end though for regular vet – they are GREAT! Skiptons on MA ave in Dorchester is best place for holistic food. There’s a few others out here in the South End… forgetting names at moment – but the last two I’ll mention are Doggy Days (aka the petshop girls) which is food, toys, grooming and day care…. and The Polkadog Bakery in the South End is a bakery just for dog food – and great line of collars, leashes, etc –
Let me know what you think!
From,
Izabella & Dave

Well my mom has entered the National Novel Writing Month and that is not great for me.
She began writing on November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30. To be added to the official list of winners, she must reach the 50,000-word mark by November 30 at midnight.

I mean what should I do while she’s typing away… umm hello!! I have decided to research dog food while she types away. It seems as if everyone is always saying different things about what to feed me and what not to feed me. My mom switched me from Nutro Dog Food to Innova dog food. Its okay but I would much rather have what my mom eats. There are a lot of websites with recipes for dogs but I don’t know which ones are good. I want to have my mom and roommate (well more like my roommate since my mom doesn’t really cook) make me something.
Do any of you have any suggestions or recipes?
