Yesterday my mom and I went for a long walk. It was great but also made me tired. When we got home I passed out next to her while she was working. All of a sudden I felt my mom picking me up and when I opened my eyes I saw my palace coming closer. She was going to put me in my palace… it felt more like a cage this time! I tried to get out of her arms but I was still so sleepy I wasn’t fast enough. I guess she had to go to some appointment! I was not happy! I did fall back asleep when she left but I will not tell her… hehe
At night we went out again and walked down Comm. Ave in the parks. I have noticed that if you walk away from the city you see more dogs. I was pulling my mom when we saw a familiar face jogging towards us. We stopped walking and noticed it was our friend Tyler. We chatted him with for a while but then he left to finish his run. For once in my life I actually didn’t feel like running so my mom was happy.
Now I must tell you all that I learned a very important lesson last night. You see I love to take things from my roommate and mom and run to my palace (my roommate calls it my treasure chest..hehe) and put it in there. Usually they run after me and take it back. I love taking hair ties, wrappers, shoes, etc. Last night they were both tired and had already chased me to the treasure chest many times when I decided to take a napkin off the table. This time no one chased me so I decided to lay in my palace/treasure chest and eat the whole napkin.
My mom always tells me not to eat napkins, hair ties, etc. but I never listen too. Well from now on I will! I woke up at 4:30am not feeling well. I began pawing my mom so she would wake up. I had a feeling I was going to throw up and really didn’t want to throw up on the bed. Luckily she woke up and quickly caught on to what was happening. She got on the floor with me and rubbed my back while I threw up the whole napkin and some grass. It hurt badly. Mom cleaned it up and then we got back into bed. We didn’t fall back asleep until after 6am.
Sorry mom!!

Good Morning!
My apologies but I am still back tracking since I didn’t write for so many days. Okay so I told you about my trip now the next investigating day was that Friday August 14th. My moms friend Rae came over and she was so fun. She played games with me while my mom finished getting ready. Rae had heard of a restaurant in the south end called Rocca that claims they love dogs and encourage people to bring their dogs to dine on the patio. Rae knows I am the pet friendly investigator so she told my mom we had to go there.
It was a scorcher outside. I had to have my mom hold my badge because it was too hot to wear anything but my personal fur coat. We walked for so long and at points I gave up and wouldn’t move. My mom had to pick me up and carry me. She was not a fan of my fur coat either and did mention finally taking me to the groomers, thank god!
Now I am very sad to tell you that I could NOT investigate Rocca because when we got there it seemed to be closed yet open. Confused? We were also! Let me explain… there was a sign on the street saying Rocca Patio open with an arrow pointing towards the patio. We walked to the patio and saw the hostess stand and dog bowls (empty dog bowls booo hoo) plus menus. Now here is where it got strange! There were no people! No customers, no work staff, nada! Rae tried to go inside but the doors were locked and when we called it said it was open but clearly it wasn’t. Very frustrated!!
We ended up eating at the Red Fenz. I am not sure if the Red Fenz lists themselves as pet friendly but they sure are! As soon as we walked in the waitress could tell that I was close to fainting and went and got me water. We hadn’t even told her yet if we were going to eat here! AMAZING!
We sat on their HUGE porch and I got my own plate with some weird food my mom was eating and my own water bowl. It ended up being a great day regardless of the fact that Rocca lied to us!!
It is time for my morning walk but I will tell you all about Friday night as soon as I return. Friday night was my aunties going away party so get ready for a great story!

Dear Diary,
The past few days I got to experience “summer”. I had ice cream, went swimming, grilled out, hung out with other dogs, and more! Matt took me to White Mountain Creamery on Sunday night. It is a great ice cream shop near Boston College. We were both beyond hot when we got there. There was a sign posted that said “No Dogs”. As soon as I saw the sign I began to pant even harder. I had to get into AC and needed water. If my mom had been there I wouldn’t have been worried but she wasn’t. My mom always bring me inside. I wasn’t sure what Matt was going to do.
He bent down, scooped me up, opened the door and walked inside. Thank god was all I could think. I licked his face a few times to say thank you. Now the next thing that happened really caught myself and Matt off guard. The person behind the counter started to tell Matt how adorable I was (duh!) and then asked if I would like some water. AMAZING! I mean the sign on the door is not exactly welcoming to pups but once inside its a whole new ball game. They gave me water and let me cool down while Matt ordered ice cream to bring to my mom. FIVE PAWS TO WHITE MOUNTAIN CREAMERY!
By the time our ice cream was ready I had cooled down and was ready for our long walk home. Thank you White Mountain Creamery!
Monday I got to go with my mom and my aunt on a road trip. We went to visit my roommate at her dads house in Western MA. The car ride was long and I couldn’t get comfortable. Once I found my favorite spot in my moms arms I went right to sleep. We had to stop halfway because I was going to pee on my mom if we didn’t. After our quick stop we were back on the road.
As we pulled up to my roommates dads house all these dogs came running out onto the grass. I am not going to lie I was a little scared at first. They all knew each other and were barking at me. My roommate made them calm down and my mom held me close while I met them. The dogs were Riley, Lillie, Sascha and Cassie. Riley is the dog my mom fell in love with before getting me. He was the inspiration to get me you could say. Riley and Cassie are my roommates fathers dogs, Lillie is her step-sisters and Sascha is her brothers. They are Havanese dogs.
Next thing I knew we were all sitting around this big hole that was filled with water. The whole area was fenced in so I didn’t need to wear my harness or leash. I felt so free. I ran around the big hole for so long that I started panting. That was when I realized that my roommate, my auntie and some other people were all in the hole splashing water and looking very cool and happy. With out even thinking I just jumped right in. I heard my mom scream and my roommate rushed over to me. I began to move my little legs and the next thing I knew I was cruising around the water filled hole. It was so fun but a lot of work. After swimming I dried off by running around with Sascha in the fenced area. I ended up cutting my paw on something sharp and began limping a little. I decided to take a break after that and sat down in my moms lap.
Later we had dinner outside and I played with the other dogs. I think they liked me but you never know. Cassie and I bonded which everyone found very funny because I guess she can be a little stand offish but she liked me!
We ended up sleeping over and I got to share a bed with my auntie and my mom. It was so dark and quiet that I got scared. I mean I am a city living puppy and we were in the woods. I think my mom was frustrated with me because I wouldn’t stop whining and it was two in the morning. Finally she understood that I wanted her to turn the light on and then we all went to sleep.
In the morning I played with Riley and Cassie while my mom helped my roommate clean out some room or something with her dad. He was really nice to me and made sure the dogs all played nicely with me!
My auntie dog sat us outside and even let me run around without my leash. My mom would have flipped out if she had been there but my auntie knew I wouldn’t run away. It was so fun!
When my mom and roommate had finished cleaning or whatever they were doing we all went to the pool to cool off. I had such a great time. I kept swimming in the pool until my legs got tired and I had to rest. I even got to sit on some big floaty thing that carried me around in the water!
My mom told me that swimming, BBQ, etc. are all summer time activities, therefore I have decided that I LOVE SUMMER!
Thank you Roomie for taking us to your dads house!
