Exercise With Your Pooch!

This morning my mom and I went on a long walk. She was freezing and I know she only made it a long one because she was hoping to tire me out so she could work on her book…  Once we got home she  took her many layers off put me on the bed and sat down in front of her computer. She has a routine of checking emails, luckymag and facebook first. She says those are her vices whatever that means.

Well she received an email linking to an article from the New York Times about humans benefit more from walking dogs thank walking with friends. Who knew?? Read to find out more!

Dog Carrier- Thanks Titus & Erin

Hi guys,

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and usually I don’t write much over the weekends but this is important. My mom received an email last week from her friend Erin and didn’t share with me until now. She probably didn’t want me to use the computer since she has to get her 1500 words a day in. Well Erin’s dog (Titus) is my friend and he was the one who came across this amazing discovery. More Get Well Treats…yeah!

My roommate came home late Sunday night from her nephews baptism. I was excited to have her home and even more excited (no offense) when she arrived home bearing gifts!! Sasha (my dog friend) and his owner (Mike-My roommates brother) sent her home with a care package for me! I got another new toy and two bags of yummy treats. Thank you guys so much!!

Well sorry for the short post today but I am sleepy….. damn meds!

Status Update..

Went to the vet this morning and surprise surprise the place where I had surgery is inflamed and slightly infected. I could have told them that if anyone had asked me. I mean hello… why did they think I was moaning and hiding under the bed?

Anyways the doctor put me on a strong steroid/pain killer and they put the dumb cone back on my head. I hate the cone but this medicine makes me so drowsy I cant get the energy to fight it. I am starting to nod off again so I will write more tomorrow.

Surgery Today

Hi Everyone

This is Tanner’s mom Amanda writing to you. I just dropped Tanner off at the vet for his “male” surgery. Tanner made me promise to write and tell you guys where he is today! He wanted to write last night but I was being a mean parent and wouldn’t let him. Our roommate gave him a little pep talk while I got ready for bed, which I think made him less worried. I am sure he will tell you all about it once he can type again. Once again I am sorry for not letting him write last night but he needed his rest for today.

We left the house this morning at 8am and Tanner got to play in the park a little before we walked to the vet. In case he forgot to tell you he goes to Back Bay Vet. They are extremely nice there, I highly recommend them. He was kind of scared when we got there … oops I wasn’t supposed to tell you that… scratch that … what I meant to say was he wasn’t scared at all when we got there. He did say I am allowed to share with you guys that when he saw me signing all the forms at the vet it did make him begin to get a little fearful of what his day would be like.

He will be under until about noon and then hopefully ready to come home around 4pm. I will keep you posted on his status and I know he will be eager to write about his experience once he gets home!!
