Mom is Sick

Hey Guys

Mom has been really sick so I have been taking care of her. Not much investigating but she is slowly coming around. We did go to Pottery Barn this morning on Newbury Street. They are VERY pet friendly!! My mom was carrying me and all the employees kept telling my mom how cute I was and it was okay for her to let me down. I think she was holding me because she was so cold and I was keeping her warm not because she was scared they would get mad…hehe..

My mom found a lamp and a blanket she liked but wasn’t feel great so she said she will go back later and get it. I have a bad feeling that is code for “I can’t carry it with you and will go back alone later”… not cool!!

Going to lay next to her while she works on her book…

Styling and Profiling

I am looking good folks! My mom took me shopping and bought me a winter vest and a harness that fits me. I have been wearing my “baby” harness until now and it has not been fun! My mom got me the winter vest at Pawsh Dog Boutique in Boston. I got to play with a bunch of dogs while my mom picked out clothes for me to try on. I was so tired from playing that I didn’t mind when my mom picked me up and kept putting different vests, jackets, sweaters, etc. on me. Here is the one I got… it is made by FouFouDog and you totally should get one. Sorry for not writing the past few days but I have been getting settled back at home as well as being on the lookout for any signs of my mom going away again. She sure did trick me last time! Gotta stay on my paws!

Last night was Halloween and my roommate and mom took me out to see all the kids. My mom attempted to make an old Halloween banner from her party last year into a bandanna for me but I was not having it! Please don’t tie things around my neck, I barked at her. So my roommate and my mom decided to make me wear this way too small Red Sox jacket! They told me everyone would be wearing costumes and I guess they had decided this was my costume. Oh Tan Man you look so cute, they kept saying.

What I wanted to know was why aren’t they wearing costumes? I was not happy with this whole costume thing and once we got outside they FINALLY noticed just how small the jacket really was on me. I couldn’t even walk in it. Luckily they took me out of it (it took both of them to get me out of this jacket) and I was able to run/walk/prance again. It was fun and a little scary. I wanted to go and get food at all the houses but my mom told me it wasn’t for dogs only kids. Why not? Can’t they also give out dog food?

When we got home I was a little nervous that they my go out but so far I had seen no signs to make me worry. They both put on pajamas and sat on the couch. Now I knew I was golden… they were staying in! I was so happy! We all hung out, ate food, and watched movies! It was a great night!

More Get Well Treats…yeah!

My roommate came home late Sunday night from her nephews baptism. I was excited to have her home and even more excited (no offense) when she arrived home bearing gifts!! Sasha (my dog friend) and his owner (Mike-My roommates brother) sent her home with a care package for me! I got another new toy and two bags of yummy treats. Thank you guys so much!!

Well sorry for the short post today but I am sleepy….. damn meds!

New Crate a.ka. My Palace

August 9th, 2009

This weekend my mom bought me a new crate… It is a palace compared to my last crate! IT is so roomy and I actually don’t mind going in there. Last night I went to rest in my new crate and my mom thought something was wrong with me because I used to never go into my crate! She asked our roomie if she should be worried. My mom is so overprotective sometimes! I just like my palace… but don’t get any ideas… I still hate being alone and I still sleep with my mom!
Friday my mom and I drove Matt to the airport so we go to keep his car all weekend! We went to Petco with my aunt in the afternoon. I got to sit on my moms lap when she drove. My mom purchased my palace there. My mom also gave me a bath on Friday morning which I was not very happy about. I hate showering when I don’t feel like it.
Saturday I went shopping with my mom and roomie. That part was boring but before shopping we all had a picnic in the park. My roomie got us all take out from Tealux and we ate in the park together and my mom let me run around. I think they did it so I wouldn’t mind going shopping with them after. It worked … gotta give them credit!
Today my moms friend Tyler came over and we went for a long walk. It was a lot of fun but I was very thirsty and mom forgot to bring my water with us. Now I am just hanging out with my mom and our roomie watching tv. My roomie made the best pasta salad and I got to have a little of it. YUM!!
Going to snuggle with my mom for a little and then rest in my palace. Don’t want her to get worried again… she’s so silly!

So Many Shops

I am one tired puppy! First let me (once again) apologize for my lack of recent entries. You see my mom is working on launching her own web design company as well as getting her book “Tangled Between The Sheets” published.

Therefore she has been using the computer and I haven’t been able to steal it away from her. I have so much to fill you in on… hmm.. where to start!

Let me back track to Saturday. Saturday my mom and I walked our roommate half way to work then went to the park for the day. It was a lot of fun. My mom brought me water and a blanket that we both sat on. It was so relaxing and I got to play with a lot of dogs!
When we got home my aunt came over and I had a feeling they were going to leave me BUT to be honest I was so tired I didn’t even care! My moms college roommate is getting married so she had to do some last minute things so I stayed home and rested.

Saturday night was a fundraiser that my mom, my aunt and my roommate were all going too. I was so sad and wanted to go with them but my mom said it wasn’t a pet friendly event. She designed the website (www.partyforpete.org) and it was for Matt’s roommates brother who passed away a few years ago for Cystic Fibrosis. I knew it was a good cause so I didn’t give my mom a hard time when she left for the night.

My roommate had more work to do and couldn’t go to the event until late. I don’t think she was too happy about having to work and go late but secretly I was because I hate being home alone!!

As usual it was a very long night and then my mom left really in the morning to go to New York for her college roommates wedding shower. I was so confused and Matt ended up taking me to his house for the day. My mom came late at night at picked me up and I got to sit in her lap while she drove. She was nervous, I could tell.

Yesterday was a low key day except my mom and I did get stuck over in Southie for a little bit but Matt came and got us. Whew…

Now today was the BIG DAY! I went out on a long adventure with my mom and my aunt! First we went to the park and then my mom decided to pop into H&M because she really needs new shoes. I kind of chewed on hers and to be honest they are pretty gross… sorry mom!

After that we went to Filenes Basement which was an experience. It was like heaven to me. There were tons of shoes and boxes all over the floor and all I wanted to do was chew a shoe but my aunt and my mom wouldn’t let me. I met the nicest man there! My mom was carrying me because she wasn’t sure if it was a pet friendly place. Also I wasn’t prepared to investigate (I had forgotten my badge at home…my bad!). This guy came over and informed us IT WAS A PET FRIENDLY STORE and he said I could walk around the store. I jumped out of my moms arms and tried to run to shoe heaven but it was so slippery that I kept falling on my face. I loved it though… I want to go there everyday!

Next stop was Victoria Secret. Now this was even better since my favorite game is trying to steal my moms, my roommates, and my aunts bras. There were so many in this place and some were hanging low and if I put a little extra oomph in my jump I could grab some! Once again my mom was holding me when we entered due to the no badge and not sure if pets are allowed factors. This time a really nice girl came up to us and guess what she said…..
YUP YOU GOT IT…. THEY ARE A PET FRIENDLY STORE ALSO! I got to run around and go into the dressing rooms! So much fun but then I really had to pee and my mom was totally not catching on so I lifted my leg (don’t worry everyone I did not pee .. I just wanted to get my moms attention) well that quickly got her attention. She ran to my aunt and told her we had to hurry. We were back outside in less than 10 minutes flat and I got to relieve myself. Thank god!

Final place we went was my ALL TIME FAVORITE RESTAURANT Tealux! Once again the wait staff was beyond nice to me and gave me a BOWL with water in it. I was even allowed to sit in my moms lap and rest while she ate. I hate having to lie on the gross pavement! I might have to give them the 2009 Best Dog Friendly Restaurant Award at the end of the year!!

Now we are home and I am going to take a nap plus my mom is staring at me because she wants the computer back… ugh!

Dog Biscuits At The Wine Store

Dear Diary,
Well as usual it is raining today in Boston! Big surprise! I am seriously so sick of this weather and I can tell my mom feels the same way. My aunt stayed over last night and we stayed up super late watching movies. It was a lot of fun but I am super tired today!
I went on a few walks today but all rather short due to the rain. My mom and my roommate really wanted to get wine so we all walked to the wine store on the not pet friendly street, a.k.a Boylston Street. I was not that excited to go to the wine store but surprise of all surprises they had dog bones there! I was so excited and now I want to go with my mom every time to get wine. Such a great treat!
Now I am sitting at home with my mom and my roommate. Just finished eating and my mom gave me a little of her cheesecake! I am exhausted… talk to you all tomorrow!

Today my new dog bed arrived! It is great! It is so comfortable and big. My mom loves the pattern and the fact it is washable. My mom also ordered the matching quilt but it hasn’t arrived yet. She is more excited for that than me.
